With summer just around the bend, a party seems like a great way to start May. How about Cinco de Mayo? The 5th of May commemorates the 1862 victory of the Mexican army over French troops at the Battle of Puebla. These days it means having a great time with family and friends, maybe a pinata, and of course, lots of great Mexican food!
In a silly mood? Limericks may be just the thing to get your party fever started. Edward Lear’s birthday, May 12, is also known as Limerick Day. If you don’t find one you like, you absolutely must try writing your own.
To really get your summer rolling, Memorial Day is conveniently placed at the end of May when the weather is most accommodating for barbecues and badminton. Enjoy these links for having a great time out of doors this May.

What’s New This Month
This month we have a new alphabet to color over at AlphabetColoring.net. A is for Artist and B is for Baker. We call it the Cartoon Alphabet.
We also have a big batch of new dot-to-dot puzzles at DotToDotPuzzles.com, with more being added as you are reading this! This batch is mostly bigger numbers, but we have puzzles with smaller numbers (one to ten) and the alphabet (a to z) coming soon!
